As the inaugural show of ARTPROJX SPACE, ARTPROJX engages with its new location, offering the ultimate art shopping experience at the Dadadandy Boutique. Following on from their success at Selfridges in 2007, which offered unique interactions with customers, Dadadandy Boutique at Artprojx Space is a new installation, mIxing the language of the retail environment with the domestic and the theatrical, with the aid of a variety of scenographic and display devices such as plinths, antique tables and props. The Boutique will feature work by 20 artists, including Dadadandy’s ongoing series of artist’s editions in the spirit of Marcel Duchamp’s Boîte en Valise, George Maciunas’ Fluxus boxes and original works, publications and products.

Dadadandy is born out of a collaboration between artist-curators Simon Moretti and Paul Heber-Percy. Dadadandy is an artwork, an artist, and a curatorial collaboration and was launched at Art|37|Basel, in June 2006. Recent projects include Le Palais Des Etoilles, a series of interventions commissioned by Selfridges, the Dadadandy Pavilion (in a parked limousine) outside the Frieze Art Fair, magazine projects for Beaux Arts Magazine and Space is the Place, the first solo presentation in London of the editions at Ritter Zamet.

ARTISTS FILM CLUB
Also showing during May the Artprojx Artist Film Club will be showing several artist film selections daily. Artprojx Hi Fi and Opera are compilations that were first screened at Late at Tate Britain and on May 15 we will host tank.tv's programme 'She doesn't think so but she's dressed for the h-bomb' which will then be screened daily for the following week.
